As a member of the Chemical Industries Association (UIC) and adhering to "Responsible Care in the chemical industry for the improvement of safety, health and environmental protection", the company undertakes to pursue its activities with the constant aim of improving safety, the protection of health and the environment by adhering to the following principles:

1) The company undertakes that : the policy it has defined and applied in the area of safety, the protection of health and the environment complies with this commitment; this policy is clearly seen as being an integral part of its general corporate policy.

2) The company ensures that management and employees at all levels are familiar with, and apply, this commitment in all their industrial and commercial activities.

3) The company considers that the adoption of protection rules by its sub-contractors and contractors, consistent with its own requirements, is a significant factor in its dealings with them.

4) In its different activities, the company complies with the regulations and recommendations of the profession, and implements the best industrial practices. It continually seeks to improve its performance in the area of safety, protection of health and the environment. It carefully measures the impact of its activities on the health and safety of its personnel, customers and the general public and on the environment, with a view to minimising their effects. It works with all the authorities and qualified organisations with a view to developing and implementing measures consistent with this objective.

5) The company keeps its employees informed about the nature and characteristics of its facilities, and on the possible impacts of its products. It particular, it introduces internal procedures aimed at the prevention of accidents, or at limiting their impact, and it contributes to setting up corresponding procedures outside the company.

6) The company also communicates all relevant information to its customers, the general public and authorities. In particular, it advises its customers on the handling, use and disposal of its products with all due respect for health, safety and the environment.

7) The company endeavours to make optimum use of resources, to reduce the production of waste and to ensure that waste disposal complies with the protection of health, safety and the environment.

8) The company contributes to research into safety and the protection of health and the environment.

9) The company promotes the principles of this commitment and encourages others to apply them by sharing its experience, whenever possible, with other members of the Responsible Care programme.
